Researchers from the University of Exeter and King's College London published a study which found that there is a population of brown trout living in a contaminated river in Cornwall (River Hayle) where the metal concentration is so high that it would be normally lethal to other fish.

The River Hayle trout had metal concentration up to 63 times higher than brown trout from a non-contaminated river. The Researchers thought this was due to adaptation of these specific brown trout through their genes.

This is a trout "designed" for our new, overpopulated, polluted world.
