Casting For Recovery Gear

The founders of The Troutology are huge supporters of Casting for Recovery (CfR).  We've been personally affected by breast cancer just like millions of others.  We've promoted the cause on previous blog posts. Aside from volunteering or donating money directly, there's some awesome products and gear that are being sold with a percentage of the proceeds going to the charity.  Here's just a few items and where you can get them.

1.  Sage Grace Rod-  An all pink, four piece, 8'6"- 5 weight, the Grace is a beautiful fly rod. $50 of every rod sold goes to Casting for Recovery.  You can buy it directly from Sage Fly Rods, which always provides super high quality fly rods.  Jim Teeny Fly Rods and Temple Fork Outfitters have also released rods that donate to the charity, are more budget friendly, and still great quality.

2.  Abel 25th Anniversary Reel- Abel has released their Super Series 5N Large Arbor Reel with a custom purple finish and pink handle, drag, and foot for CfR.  It features a pink ribbon and the Casting for Recovery logo. The coolest part is the quote "To Fish is to Hope" on the drag knob. For every reel sold, Abel will donate $100 to CfR.  The one of a kind reel can be purchased directly from Abel.

3. Wheatley Fly Boxes- REC Components is the exclusive distributor of Wheatley Fly Boxes from England.  These are simply some of the best fly boxes made anywhere.  They are offering 9 different styles of Casting for Recovery fly boxes with finishes ranging from pink to black to grey and even rainbow trout.  REC even offers custom engraving and personalization.  10% of all fly box sales will go to Casting for Recovery.  Order these awesome boxes here.

4.  HMH Vises- HMH out of Maine has offered two of their top quality vises, The Standard and The Spartan, in CfR colors.  You can option and specialize the vises to your tying needs when ordering.  $25 will be donated for every vise sold.  Get your CfR/HMH vise here.
